What Can Finance Advice Do For You?
Doug Smith

Defined Tag:

When you hear the term finance advice, you may picture a big smoke-filled corporate boardroom filled with financiers and bankers in suits. That is one interpretation. Financial advisors are not just for the corporate world, though. Finance not only deals with your money, but it deals with the manipulation and acquisition of your money. Taxes and debt influences your finances too, but these are to be minimized or eliminated. Therefore it is just as important for the novice to seek professional financial planning too.

Knowledgeable money advice is critical for life's financial decisions. If you want to buy a house, buy or start a business, get a small business loan, or even buy or sell stock, you should consult a professional. Yes, there will be a fee. However, you pay a lawyer to keep you out of legal trouble, so it makes sense to pay a financial planner to keep you out of money trouble.

Who are these economic planners? You are probably using their advice and guidance already. The loan officer at your bank or credit union is one. The certified public accountant (CPA) that prepares your income tax returns is one. Your unemployed brother-in-law thinks he is a money wizard, but don't listen to him.

There are people other than those mentioned who offer professional money management advice. They are called Certified Financial Planners (CFP), Wealth Managers, Financial Analysts, and Financial Consultants. Their primary function is to advise companies and individuals on how to manage their financial resources to obtain maximum rate of return (ROI) in their investments.

These professional financiers are advising people daily on how and where to invest their income, whether stocks or bonds are appropriate for their situation, estate planning, investing for retirement, and numerous money related subjects. You will pay for this advice, but if your advisor is not making you a profit on top of the fee you pay him, find a better one!

Whether you have a CFA or a CPA, your money manager can provide excellent and profitable finance advice to help you plan your financial future.
